Look with curious eyes at what has come before me. Nature-based weaving traditions have existed around the world since the beginning of time. Locally, basket weaving of the Coast Salish tribes is brilliant, distinct, and diverse. Coast Salish people have existed here, still exist here, and will exist here in the future.

The process of creation cannot be forced or rushed. Inspired by the growth of trees, With the Trees moves at a human pace. 

A pine needle is not an inanimate art material, but a living being. I feel respect for trees and gather only the amount needed from the top layer of fallen needles.

Relationships are core. I seek to deepen and encourage connection with nature, community, and the senses.

I feel deep care for the trees and those who protect them. This care informs my actions. With the Trees donates 10% of all profits to the Na’ah Illahee Fund. 

With the Trees embraces change and growth. I am a curious person who will continue learning the best way to bring my values to life.
